Life In the Spirit

Christians have a real spiritual adversary, who seeks to steal, kill and destroy. We have a Savior who has come to give us life abundantly. In this message we look at the schemes the devil uses against believers and how we ought to resist him in the faith.

The writer of Hebrews admonishes believers not to neglect their salvation. There is more to salvation than believing. Repentance, new birth, becoming a new creation and living in newness of life cannot be neglected in regards to so great a salvation.

We have been given a wonderful gift, the gift of salvation. The writer of Hebrews admonishes Christians not to neglect our salvation. We are saved by grace through faith, but there is more to salvation than saying a prayer. How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? 

Jesus said many people are on a path leading to destruction, while few are on a path which leads to life. This message will challenge you to inquire of yourself: which part am I on? 

In this series we are focusing on the three enduring Christian virtues of faith, hope and love. In part one of the series we are focusing on faith, faith that is diligent. Having a faith that draws near to God despite the circumstances.

Prayer should be effective. When prayer feels or becomes ineffective, and it doesn't seem to work us, ineffective prayer results in prayerlessness. There are some reasons why our prayers can seem to be ineffective. In this message we examine some of the reasons why prayer becomes ineffective. 

Have you ever been stuck in a rut? Sometimes we get stuck in a because we make choices and live outside the authority of scripture. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live the word God. The Word of God and the Spirit of God working in tandem together in a believers life.

Like Jonah sometimes the body of Christ has difficulty sharing the grace of God with people who desperately need the grace of God.

Like Jonah we've all made poor choices, mistakes or have been disobedient. There are consequences to our poor decisions and disobedience. However God can use those consequences for a redeeming purpose. The gifts and callings of God are irrevocable.

Jonah has been called the reluctant prophet, the runaway prophet or the disobedient prophet. It can be easy for us to cast stones at Jonah for his disobedience to God's plan and purpose for his life. Yet many of us are guilty of the same reluctance or disobedience. God calls us to do something and we go in a different direction away from God's plans and purposes.
