Life In the Spirit

And here’s the good news God may not always keep you out of the fire, but He will always meet you in it. When your faith stands firm, even in the fire, your life becomes a testimony that brings glory to God.

In this first part of the Walking by Faith series, we explore what true biblical faith really is. The Bible says it’s impossible, not just difficult, to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). But faith is more than just belief. Belief acknowledges truth, but faith acts on it. Abraham didn’t just believe God’s promises; he left home and followed. The heroes of Hebrews 11 weren’t remembered for what they believed, but for what they did by faith. Many today confuse belief with saving faith, but Scripture is clear: we are saved by grace through faith, a faith marked by repentance, surrender, obedience, and transformation. The question is not simply, “Do you believe in Jesus?” The real question is: “Have you placed your faith in Him, turning from sin, surrendering to His Lordship, and living daily by faith?”

In part four of our Come and See, Go and Tell series, we explore what it means to be the light of the world. Jesus has not only saved us but also sent us. Evangelism isn’t optional, it’s the mission of every believer. We are not stuck where we are; we are sent to shine in our families, workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities. Even small acts, like a prayer, a kind word, or an invitation can have eternal impact. Your mission field begins at the end of your driveway. The question isn’t if you’re sent, but how you’ll respond. Today is the day to shine for Jesus and carry His light into a dark world.

That same call reaches us today: to drop our nets, burn the ships, and step fully into His mission of being fishers of men. Then we took a deeper dive into one of the most requested topics: What does the Bible say about alcohol?
While the Bible doesn’t forbid alcohol outright, it clearly condemns drunkenness and warns of the dangers of impairment, loss of self-control, and spiritual compromise. We contrasted the fleeting effects of alcohol with the life-giving, peace-filled, joy-producing power of the Holy Spirit. In a world reaching for relief in all the wrong places, we are called to be filled with the Spirit, not influenced by a counterfeit.
This message is a call to evaluate our motives, pursue holiness, and be a Spirit-filled witness in a world desperate for something real.
