Life In the Spirit

Everyone will face a judgement. For born again believers, they will face the judgment seat of Christ while unbelievers will face the great white throne judgment. What we believe about eternity will determine how we live our lives today. It's our hope this message will encourage you to live your lives for the glory of God and in the end hear these words, "Well done, good and faithful servant". 

Many of us have been stung and felt the pain of gossip. Many friendships have had the trust of that relationship broken because someone could not keep their big mouth shut. In this message Pastor Tyler encourages us from God's Word to speak life and encouragement, rather than death and discord. 

In part three of Me And My Big Mouth we are talking about lying. In this message we are identifying areas of our lives where we aren't speaking or living the truth. With the help and power of the Holy Spirit we can speak and live the truth. 

Do you use your words to build others up or do you use your words to criticize and tear them down? In this message Pastor Tyler encourages us to use our words to give life, to encourage and give hope. Make a choice to point out what's good and right about a person or a situation rather than what's wrong or bad. 

In this series we are talking about ways we get ourselves into trouble because of our big mouths. The first message of the series deals with complaining. It's so easy for us to become negative and complain about our situations. In this message we are challenged to no complain, but to change our circumstances or change our perspective.

We live in a time of spiritual consumerism where people pick and choose certain aspects of their spiritual commitment and neglect others. There is a tendency for people in the Body of Christ to go to church but neglect their calling to be planted in God's house. In this message we are encouraged to be planted in God's house, planted in a local church, interconnected with others and fulfilling God's purpose for our lives. Don't just go to church, be planted in the house of God.

In this series we are talking about returning to and reengaging basic spiritual disciplines. One spiritual discipline we overlook and may not categorize as a spiritual discipline is personal evangelism. In the Great Commission Jesus commands us to go and make disciples. With the practice of this spiritual discipline we obey Jesus, we reach the lost and we build our faith and confidence in Christ and His Word.

In this message Pastor Tyler challenges us with the spiritual discipline of worship. Worship is more than what we do in church on a Sunday morning. Worship is a lifestyle and the place of true worship is the heart. 

This message is part one of a series entitled Back to the Basics. In this series we are talking about reengaging the basic spiritual disciplines of our faith. In part one we want to encourage you to reengage the most important spiritual discipline; reading, studying, meditating and memorizing the Scriptures. All other spiritual disciplines hinge on our commitment to God's Word. 

There are some common misconceptions within and outside of Christianity concerning praise and worship. In this message Pastor Tyler addresses some of those misconceptions and brings clarity from the Bible.
