The Ten Commandments Part Four

God didn't give us the Ten Commandments as list of do's and don'ts that make it difficult for us to know Him. Under grace and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can fulfill the righteousness of the commandments and draw closer to God. In this message we are focusing on the spiritual principle revealed in the fourth commandment, which deals with reverence and humility.

The Ten Commandments were given to us for the purpose of relationship. Under grace we can draw closer to God by observing the commandments which reveal His nature. In this third message of the series we are looking at the spiritual principle revealed through the second commandment.

Jesus said that He did not come to nullify the Law, instead He came to fulfill the Law. In Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can live the righteousness of the commandments under grace. In this message we look at the spiritual principle revealed to us through the first commandment. 

The Ten Commandments Part One

God did not give us the Ten Commandments as a list of "do's" and "don'ts" that make it difficult for us to know Him. The Ten Commandments are spiritual principles that help us to draw closer to God and know Him better. For everyone who is born again the Ten Commandments aren't Law they are life. The Holy Spirit who dwells in us, empowers us to live the righteousness of each principle revealed through the commandments.

Strongholds

Strongholds are established through disobedience. Strongholds must be broken and should never be tolerated in the life of a Spirit filled believer. Through Christ, the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, strongholds can be broken.

Signs Revisited Part Four

In the last days God is calling His church to be watchman. The Body of Christ ought to be aware of what the signs of the end are indicating. Likewise, we ought to be warning those who aren't prepared for Christ return, warning them about what the signs are indicating.

Jesus said in the last days the love of many would grow cold. The Apostle Paul said in the last days people would be lovers of themselves, rather than lovers of God. As a result they would have a form of godliness, but it would not have the power to transform their lives.

There are signs occurring around the world that are reminding us that Jesus return for His church is imminent. There will be a rapture of the church, Jesus will catch away His church prior to the tribulation.

Is the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas a sign? Are the current events warning Christians about the imminent return of Christ? If so, what should our response be to these events as Christ followers?

I Am A Disciple Part Seven

A disciple who follows Jesus as Lord, needs to be filled with the Spirit. Everyday life will deplete a Christian emotionally and spiritually and that's why we need to be filled continuously with the Holy Spirit.
